Interconnections 1, 2023

Photographic Print, 2023, Two editions:-

• Large-scale edition on silk, 1.2m x 1m, Edition of 5 and 1 A/P, Hanging made using willow branches and thread.
• Small-scale edition on Hahnemühle Bamboo, 297 mm x 210 mm.  Edition of 30 and 1 A/P. 

​This photograph is of my childhood willow tree in Essex. Seeing the chance occurrence of lens flare and how it seemed to highlight the interconnections of the plant and fungal life in the willow tree's ecosystem. 

​Mycelial connections, 2024

Made for the International collaborative project BRIDGE 2024 (see recent involvements), these 'mycelial' strands were made with an emergent process working with glass off cuts from Jonas Rooth. I made them to link his blown glass mushrooms to my silk 'Interconnections 1' photograph.
